As a tourist destination Jembrana Regency gets far less interest than Regencies like Badung and Ginayar, which are home to the biggest vacation resorts on the island.

And it is a crying shame; the Jembrana is expansive and covers coastline, mountainous regions, forest, and vast swathes of Bali’s most prime agricultural landscapes. 

With so much on offer, tourism leaders in Jembrana want to help put the area on the map for international tourists.

The Head of the Jembrana Tourism and Culture Service, Anak Agung Komang Sapta Negara, told reporters that tourists can look forward to more innovation and promotional deals in the area.

The Jembrana Tourism and Culture Service will soon be launching a new website and social media campaign where visitors can gain all the information they need to plan their vacation in the area.

Where Are The Best Spots Tourists Can Visit In Jembrana Regency?

So while the Jembrana Tourism and Culture Service is putting the final touches on its new tourism campaign, where can tourists start exploring in Jembrana Regency?

One of the top emerging vacation destinations in Jembrana Regency is Medewi Beach. The area has long been a coastal hideaway for surfers and backpackers, and interest in Medewi Beach is growing fast.

There is a range of gorgeous boutique resorts, private villas, and traditional homestay experiences available to suit every travel style and budget.

Further east of Medewi Beach, tourists are starting to explore the sleepy fishing village of Perancak. Traditional fishing boats line the black sand beach but leave plenty of space for sunbathing and exploring.

Perancak Sunset Point is the place to be in the late afternoon and is a great place to hang out to meet local people and learn about life in a part of Bali barely touched by international tourism. 

Gilimanuk Bay is also a part of the island often overlooked by international tourists. Gilimanuk Bay is becoming increasingly popular with domestic tourists and now international visitors are starting to pay attention. Gilimanuk Bay is a great place to use as a base for exploring West Bali National Park.

Jembrana Regency will soon be undergoing a tourism boom.

As leaders in Bali look to distribute tourism more evenly throughout the island, Jembrana is touted to be one of the province’s nine regencies that could benefit from tourism development. 

Work is already underway to construct the Gilimanuk-Medewi Toll Road that will connect the heart of the island with the far west, providing a vital transportation link between East Java and Bali.

More details are emerging about the much anticipated new Universal Park and Gardens theme park that is set to be built in Jembrana Regency. 

Leaders have kept the specific location of the Universal Park and Gardens theme park under close wraps, but we do know that Bali’s biggest theme park will be built in Jembrana Regency.

Touted as the ‘Disneyland of Bali’ the park is set to become one of the island’s leading tourism attractions within the next decade and no doubt bringing in unprecedented levels of both domestic and international tourism to Jembrana Regency.
