It is a widely acknowledged fact that Bali’s coffee scene is world-class.

From baristas pushing the boundaries of quality and finesse to business owners redefining what cafe culture can look like time and time again, coffee lovers can lose themselves in the wonders Bali has to offer.

Coffee on the beach

One new and innovative coffee shop in Bali is celebrating the opening of its second location. Mobile coffee business Quickie Coffee formally opened the shutters earlier this year.

The first full time location for Quicke Coffee is the ever-popular Seminyak Beach, Now the small business is celebrating opening a second coffee van right on Petitenget Beach.

Quickie Coffee has been getting rave views from tourists and locals alike and has established itself firmly as a much-loved player in the Seminyak cafe scene.

The first of the coffee vans is actually a converted delivery trike, has been reconfigured to house a full barista machine and station. Quickie by name and quickie by nature, service at the stall is snappy and always with a smile.

Quickie Coffee barista, Gea, spoke with reporters about the idea for the eye-catching, retro-inspired coffee van.

Gea said “The idea for Quickie came from a foreign vlogger who likes to travel in a VW Combi, so the inspiration came from there. Quickie Coffee’s distinctive color was also inspired from there.”

Small Quickie Coffee may be, but the menu features everything coffee lovers could ask for, and plenty for the anti-caffeine brigade too.

Whether a punchy double espresso or a post-surf flat white, customers have heaps to choose from. Quickie Coffee is hot and iced coffee available, as are alternative milks, hot chocolate, and cookies too.

Although typically a quick, takeaway coffee bar, Quickie Coffee offers a few beachfront seats for those wanting to sip and soak in the view.

Quickie Coffee is open from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. daily, on Petitinget Beach and Seminyak Beach. Quickie Coffee can be found on Instagram @LoveAQuickie.

Petitinget Beach and Seminyak Beach are two of Bali’s most popular beaches, popular with tourists from all over the world for their learner-friendly surf, incredible cafes, fine dining restaurants, and world-class beach clubs.

From one of the littlest coffee shops in Bali to the biggest in South East Asia, this month Bali is welcoming the arrival of Padhi Specialty Coffee in the heart of Kintamani.

The Balinese-owned and operated venture is showcasing not only some of the finest coffee the island has to offer but all of the Indonesian archipelago.

The whole Padhi Specialty Coffee is exceptionally photogenic, from the decor to the breathtaking views of Mount Batur.

Tourists should consider dropping by if only for photo opportunities and no doubtably find themselves staying for cup after cup of coffee brewed as close to the source as they may ever experience anywhere in the world.

Despite beachside resorts like Canggu, Uluwatu, and Seminyak being home to some of the most popular cafes and restaurants in Bali, Kintamani is home to the cafes and roasters where many of the island’s very own baristas like to go and enjoy their days off.

The coffee shops along Penelokan Main Road in Batur, Kintamani, overlook the magnificent Mount Batur, Lake Batur, and on a clear day even Mount Agung.

Looking at the map, Kintamani may feel far from the beaten track for most tourists. In reality, however, Kintamani is a perfect day trip destination from Ubud, just a scenic one-hour drive from the heart of Ubud via the rice terraces, Kintamani has so much on offer, from coffee shops to view points, natural spring pools, and forest hikes.

Correct, it is a banned item. Bali Governor introduced a Regulation Number 97 of 2018 concerning Restrictions on the Generation of Single-Use Plastic Waste. However, as everybody knows not much is done to enforce this regulation. Again, in Indonesia there is no lack of laws and regulations. Population knows there is little enforcement, hence do as you wish.
