What’s The Hype About Seseh? Bali’s Best-Kept Secret Getaway

Let’s be honest; what’s hot and what’s not hot in Bali can change as quickly as the actual tide.

The island is developing at an unprecedented rate, and it’s hard to keep up with where the vibe is at.

For those who have spent a decent amount of time in Bali, you’ll be able to attest to how quickly things are changing.

Just seven or eight years ago, Canggu was an emerging tourism destination, still frequented primarily by budget backpackers and surfers.

Now Canggu is practically pumping, home to more private villas, new cafes, beach clubs, and boutique shops than you can shake a stick at.

Canggu is easily the most popular part of Bali for the trend-conscious traveler, closely followed by up-and-coming Uluwatu.

@md.irma Explore Pantai Seseh Bali dan ketemu warung super kece dan affordable. Wifi di sini lancar bgt jd enak buat kerja. So for those who want to stay ahead of the trend, where is the best place to visit in Bali? Well, look no further than Seseh.

Located just 15 minutes up the coast from the center of Canggu, Seseh is a laid-back paradise offering those quintessential Bali beach vibes with none of the big resort busyness.

Seseh Beach is a black sand beach lined with palm trees that offers speculator sunset views that rival any other destination along the southern coast.

The calm waters are perfect for swimming, and the soft black sand makes for a wonderful early morning running track.

Compared to Berawa Beach, Echo Beach, or even Pererenan Beach in Canggu, Seseh Beach is quiet. You can easily rent a sun lounger and grab all the cold drinks you need without the hustle and bustle that comes with the beach experience further up the coast.

Seseh Beach is flanked by Munggu Beach and Cemagi Beach, both equally as chilled and worthy of a visit.

While the beaches around Seseh offer tourists the chance to lean into the vintage Bali beach vibes, it is the offering inland that has really caught the attention of ex-pats, digital nomads, and off-the-beaten path tourists.

Seseh boasts stunning rice fields that showcase the best of Bali’s heritage agricultural practices.

While some of the local land has been turned over to tourism development (and there will be more), the area feels green and retains its rural charm.

If you’re the kind of traveler who’s looking for an authentic, quiet Bali beach experience but want the option of dipping your toes into the party scene in Canggu (and who can blame you, it’s incredible!) Seseh is the destination for you.
