The Light of Peace Mediation is being organised by the Bali Mediation Centre as part of the  International Day of Peace. The mediation will be hosted from 4 pm until 10 pm and will see around 2,000 people join the mediation. This is an interfaith event, welcoming those of all and no religious affiliation.

Bali Mediation Centre shares, “The ‘Light of Peace’ event is about harnessing that power— together. By igniting our inner light, we can contribute to a global movement that transforms not just our own lives but the world around us. When 2,000 hearts beat as one, when 2,000 candles light up the night, the energy we create will be felt far beyond the island of Bali.”

The group is calling for all those with a yearning for peace to join, noting, “Whether you’re a spiritual seeker, a local resident, or a traveler drawn to Bali’s magic, your presence at this event matters. It’s your chance to be part of something much larger than yourself—a movement toward a more peaceful world.”

The event is free, and over the course of the 4-hour gathering, there will be a range of different activities conducted in the name of collective peace. The first session will be a group stretch to help prepare for the mediation with Adam Mahmoud.

Followed by messages of peace and unity from spiritual leaders. The guided meditation will start at 8.20 pm and will be facilitated by a Buddhist monk. At 9 pm, the candles will be lit for the collective vigil by candlelight, followed by a loving kindness meditation set to draw to a close around 9.50 pm.

Attendees are encouraged to wear modest attire, in cream or white, without a low neckline, covering shoulders and knees. The event is free, but tickets are required. Those who wish to be in attendance at the Nusa Dua Conference Centre on the 21st September should register for a ticket via the Bali Meditation Centre website.

The Bali Mediation Centre was founded in 2017 by Luang Pi Pradit. In 2022, the centre formally opened. The Bali Mediation Centre explains, “Before being the abbot of the Bali Meditation Center, he learned the ancient secrets of meditation from Luang Por Dhammajayo and Master Nun Chand Konnokyoong. His mission is to bring one million people to meditate together in one place to make peace on earth a reality.”

It is not only the Light of Peace Mediation that tourists and locals are welcome to join at the Bali Mediation Centre, but a series of mediations held on a regular basis, including full moon meditations set to be hosted on the 7th October and the 5th December.

According to Bali Meditation Centre, “The full moon is a time of heightened energy, clarity, and transformation. It’s the perfect moment to release what no longer serves you and welcome new intentions into your life. In our guided Full Moon Meditation, you’ll experience the profound benefits of mindfulness, amplified by the powerful lunar energy.”
