Founder Of Karma Group Issues Statement On Recent Fire At Karma Beach Restaurant

The Founder and Chairman of Karma Group, John Spence has stated that the Karma Kandara Resort and its facility are still operating despite the recent fire at Karma Beach Restaurant.

One of the fine dining restaurants, Karma Beach Restaurant caught on fire on Saturday evening (13/11), destroying the entire building at the bottom of the cliff. Flames were extinguished by Sunday morning with assistance from the fire brigade, staff and local Banjar from the area.

Despite the recent incident, Spence assured that the rest of the property such as the resort area, De Mare Restaurant, Temple Lounge, Karma Spa are still operational and were not affected by the fire. Spence also confirmed that the hill tram and sea spa that are located near Karma Beach were undamaged and remain operating under safety measures.

Karma Beach Restaurant is closed for an indefinite period. Spence was grateful that nobody was injured in the fire and he plans to utilize the remaining structure and the beach area for upcoming festivals. In the mean time, the officers from Denpasar Police Department are still investigating the cause of the incident.
