One of the fine dining restaurants in Bali called Karma Beach Restaurant caught on fire over the weekend.
The Head of the Denpasar Public Relations Officer, Iptu I Ketut Sukadi confirmed that a restaurant that is located on Jalan Villa Kandara Ungasan, South Kuta was completely destroyed after catching fire on Saturday evening (13/11) around 11:30 pm. “The restaurant that belongs to Karma Kandara Resort caught on fire on Saturday night, causing the entire building to get completely destroyed.” Iptu Sukadi said on Sunday (14/11).
Iptu Sukadi explained that the incident was first spotted from Melasti Beach by a village official who was on duty in the area. “When one of the village officials spotted a fire from the restaurant, he immediately ran to the scene and saw that the entire building was engulfed in flames. He attempted to put out the fire, but it was too late, ” Sukadi added.
After reporting the incident to the fire department, 6 fire trucks came to the scene and began to extinguish the fire. However, Sukadi admitted that the operation was pretty challenging as the officers were unable to reach the restaurant area very easily. “We were struggling to reach the scene, as the restaurant is located at the bottom of a cliff where there’s no direct access towards the restaurant, but thankfully we managed to handle the fire in the morning around 6:10 am.” Iptu Sukadi concluded.
Despite causing a massive loss on the property, nobody was injured from the incident which is still being investigated by the police.
