Bali’s Luxurious Nusa Dua Top Destination For Holidaymakers Right Now

With the geopolitical conflict in the Middle East showing no signs of impacting the economy for many more months to come, travelers and holidaymakers are looking ahead at their 2026 vacation plans with bated breath.

One of Bali’s most luxurious tourism resorts is proving as much in demand as ever, and leaders are hopeful that it will stay that way.

The Operations Director at the IDTC Nusa Dua, Troy Reza Warokka, told reporters that while the geopolitical conflict in the Middle East may impact travel in the short and medium term, Nusa Dua will remain a safe, welcoming, and fully operational destination for holidaymakers.

He explained, “There will definitely be an impact. At the very least, it could be a decrease in tourists from the Middle East.”

He confirmed that hotel occupancy data remains stable for Nusa Dua, which is home to some of the most luxurious and highly acclaimed hotels in all of Asia. He explained that the average occupancy rate has increased compared to the same period in 2205, despite global conflicts affecting flight availability and ticket prices.

Warokka noted, “If you look now, there is actually quite high traffic from three countries, namely Australia, China, and India. This resulted in occupancy rates in Nusa Dua in the first quarter of this year being higher than they were last month in 2025.”

There are concerns that tourist visits from the Middle East and those who depend upon layovers in the Middle East, like tourists from North and South America as well as Africa, will decrease in the coming months. Warokka and his teams are clear that Nusa Dua will pivot and continue to thrive amid the economic and political adversities faced around the world.

Warokka explained that if the data is broken down further, the average occupancy rate for January was 73%, for February 66%, and for March 65%. All of which is a positive sign, especially since January to March is the middle of the low season in Bali. For a whole resort to be able to boast occupancy figures in excess of 60% consistently during the low season is considered a positive sign.

Warokka reiterated that Nusa Dua is one of the safest destinations in Bali, in all of Indonesia, and that overall Indonesia remains an incredibly safe destination for tourists. This is something that he and his teams are keen to build upon in the coming months: trust and safety for tourists.

He explained, “This is something we must protect together, that’s why we’re rejuvenating, giving it a new look, and providing better service.” Adding “InJourney has declared this year as the year of service, so they will increase the length of stay in Nusa Dua.”

He even shared the hope that Nusa Dua will be able to host even more major international meetings, events, and conferences.

Warokka explained, “If you want to organize a good MICE event, Nusa Dua is safe. Why? Everything is complete here. The proof is that we are always chosen for several international events that invite many heads of state.”
