Bali’s classic beach resort destination of Kuta is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. Over the last week, Kuta Beach has seen a growing number of tourists visit to relax and unwind in the sun.
Officials from the Kuta Beach Task Force have shared their observations of tourism in Kuta with reporters. I Made Oka explained, “visits to Kuta Beach, it is starting to boom. It’s been three days quite crowded at Kuta Beach.”
He noted that the majority of tourists had been domestic tourists but shared that with the high season on the way, many more international travelers will be heading to Kuta Beach soon.
Oka shared that in light of the increasing number of tourists in the area, the Kuta Beach Task Force is out and about on patrol to ensure that tourists feel safe and supported.

Oka added, “Although the dominance of [domestic tourists], there are also many foreign tourists who visit. Of course, we will continue to monitor to anticipate unwanted things.”
He confirmed that there are now officers who patrol the Kuta Beach area to ensure public safety.
Patrols now operate 24 hours a day and will continue throughout the high season, giving tourists from all over Indonesia and the world a chance to experience the best that Kuta has to offer.

For many tourists and tourism stakeholders in Bali, the news that Kuta’s resurgence has begun is promising news.
Kuta Beach has been the island’s biggest tourism resort for decades but has been slower to recover from the pandemic than other newer tourism developments like Canggu and Uluwatu.
It is clear that the influence of social media and the huge financial investments in areas like Canggu, Seminyak, and Uluwatu are having an impact on tourist trends in Bali.
Classic Kuta, admittedly looked a little tired and rundown during the height of the pandemic, and now investment in redevelopment is flowing in. For the next few months, construction teams will be rebuilding the beach wall along Kuta Beach.

Construction teams have assured tourists that their peace and quiet will not be disturbed while construction is underway and that access to the beach will be preserved.
In addition to huge investment into the beach wall and consideration against beach erosion, public funds have helped create new facilities in Kuta for all to enjoy.
In the last few months, Kuta Beach has welcomed the arrival of a new playground for children, new outdoor gym equipment for everyone to use, and an incredible new skatepark that is open for locals and tourists alike.
Community leaders in Kuta are increasingly keen to ensure that the resort town remains relevant and inviting for tourists. The 24-hour patrols of the beach area ensure that tourists feel safe day and night, whether sunbathing on the shoreline or walking back to their hotel after a big night out.
Kuta Beach remains one of the best places in the world to learn to surf. It is part of the reason why Bali is such a famous tourist destination today.
Back in the late 1960s and 1970s, Kuta Beach emerged as a surfer paradise that quickly became the international tourism resort that holidaymakers from around the world still love today.
The beach is still lined with surf shacks and cold drinks stalls that give tourists a real feeling of island life.
A steady resurgence in popularity is a great sign for Kuta Beach, especially as the high season approaches.
Demand for destinations like Kuta is a good thing for tourists, too, it encourages healthy market competition, creating better travel deals and better travel experiences for holidaymakers of every demographic.
Bali has already welcomed over one million international arrivals in the year so far. By the end of the year, the Island of the Gods hopes to welcome 4.5 million international arrivals.
With trendy tourism hotspots like Canggu and Uluwatu becoming ever busier, the quiet resurgence of Kuta will continue to gain traction as tourists seek a classic coastal getaway that offers ease, safety, and all the fun in the sun you could wish for.

The recent reviews for Kuta beach in TripAdvisor tell a rather different story. Garbage, hawkers, scammers, etc. Many saying they will never go there again.

Kuta’s beach “China wall” on Jl Pantai seems to be a great joke, was built to be dismantled. - Hopefully whole public slum architecture that was built since 1980’s will be dismantled too, back to cottages.

@Solo57, More beach clubs for all the soulless narcissists taking selfies and staring at their phones all day long- sounds like paradise.
More greed = more trash tourists, pollution, noise, erosion, road rage etc
I can tell you a secret….. Fiji is not like Bali.
