A video of a man confronting the staff of a hotel located in Kuta after being sanctioned with USD $350 (IDR 5 million) has gone viral.
A guest of a five-star hotel in Bali recently uploaded a video expressing his disappointment and frustration. He received a sanction that made him pay over USD $350 (IDR 5 million) for the damage he caused during his stay at the hotel. In the video, the guest was upset as he was required to pay a fine that cost more than the hotel’s rate.
“I paid USD $70 (IDR 1 million) per night to stay at this hotel, but they charged me USD $350 for staining their bedsheets,” said the guest.
He warned other people at the hotel area to be careful while staying at this hotel and avoid doing the same mistake as his.
Meanwhile, the hotel management had recently published some information concerning the incident through their social media to explain what really happened. The management stated that apart from the bedsheets, the guest also stained the duvet cover, inner cover, and a bath mat with ink from the temporary tattoo on his body.
“Therefore, the guest was charged in accordance with our policy for the damage that he had caused,” said the management.
On the other hand, people who saw the video left comments in support of the hotel’s policy.
