Bali Expat Who Was Recently Detained For Possession Suspected To Be Involved In Nationwide Trafficking Scheme

A man named Dave Michael Moore who has been recently detained by authorities from the Bali police department for hosting a drug party in Sanur is suspected to be involved in an international drug trafficking scheme.

After previously denying their arrest, authorities from the Denpasar Narcotics Investigation Bureau finally confirmed that the man who has been running a Bar in Sanur was arrested for drugs possession along with his Australian partner, Dean Rearden from Dave’s house that is located on Jalan Danau Tamblingan, Sanur on Thursday (26/8).

As The Bali Sun previously reported both suspects were arrested after they had a drug party at Dave’s place. The Head of the Denpasar Narcotics Investigation Bureau, AKP Losa Lusiano finally announced that he had detained both suspects, and continued their investigation in order to find out if they were involved in any narcotic groups in Bali.

“Correct, both Dave and Dean were arrested, and an investigation to find out about their syndicate and how they managed to receive the cannabis on the island.” AKP Lusiano said on Friday (27/8). Meanwhile, according to information from a source inside the Denpasar police department, Dave was known for being a fugitive as he was suspected to be involved in an international narcotics group. “We only seized a small amount of cannabis during the arrest, but an investigation is still underway as we suspected him to have a relation with a drug trafficking group across the nation.” said the source.
