She was discharged from Kerobokan prison and into the custody of Indonesian immigration before boarding a plane to Australia. according to 9 News.

The 49-year-old has been held at the Denpasar prison since the body of a local Balinese police officer Wayan Sudarsa was found beaten on Kuta Beach in August 2016. During her highly publicized trial, Connor maintained she had no part in Mr Sudarsa’s death.

She said she was attempting to separate her British boyfriend David Taylor from the officer after the two men became involved in a late-night confrontation over her missing handbag.

She admitted to destroying the police officer’s ID cards and assisting Taylor in burning their bloodied clothes, but says she was scared and thinking of her children.

His body was found on the beach with 42 wounds, including bruises and scratches across his face, head and hands. A broken beer bottle was found nearby.

Both Connor and Taylor’s trials heard it likely took Mr Sudarsa hours to die and that had someone intervened, the police officer’s life may have been saved. During his trial, Taylor admitted to hitting the police officer with a mobile phone, his own binoculars and a beer bottle but said he was acting in self-defence. He was found guilty of fatal group assault and sentenced to six years’ jail. Ms Connor will now undertake mandatory 14-day coronavirus quarantine before being allowed to return home to Byron Bay, where her two sons live.
