It’s fair to say that the title of ‘Bali’s most impressive venue’ could go to any number of beach clubs, resorts, and festival parks.
There is just one venue, however, that truly stands apart from the others. That is none other than the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park.
The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, also sometimes referred to simply as the GWK Cultural Park, is home to the largest statue in Indonesia.
The now iconic 121m tall Garuda Wisnu Kencana stands at the center point of the Bukit (the pearl drop of Bali) and can be seen as far away as Echo Beach in Canggu.
The park and festival grounds can safely and comfortably accommodate thousands of people for live events.
The events team at GWK Cultural Park has just announced the lineup for an upcoming festival and it’s a lineup like no other.
From 8th – 10th December 2023 Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, will be welcoming Djakarta Warehouse, Project XV. Proudly holding the crown for the ‘The Best EDM Festival of 2015’ by EDM Sauce; the project festivals attract some of the world’s best electronic dance music artists and music lovers from all corners of the globe.
This year’s event marks the 15th anniversary since the first Djakarta Warehouse Project event opened its doors. Organizers have pulled out all the stops to make sure that this anniversary event will be the biggest yet.
Djakarta Warehouse Project issued a statement about the event. They say, “Over the past 15 years, DWP has been a beacon of electronic music culture in the heart of Southeast Asia”
“As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of DWP, this edition is not just about the music; it’s about unity, diversity, and the shared love for electronic music that has brought us all together over the years.”
So who will be headlining this incredible festival?
None other than David Guetta! With over 69 million monthly listeners on Spotify making him the 4th most listened-to artist on the platform.
David Guetta is undeniably the biggest headline act anyone could ask for!
A renowned trailblazer, Guetta has 11 Grammy nominations behind him, two Grammy awards, and over 40 billion international streams he knows how to put on an unforgettable show.
Guetta is the mastermind behind tracks like Titanium featuring Sia, I’m Good (Blue), and When Love Takes Over.
His 2010 album One More Love featured collaborations with Akon, Will.i.am and Estelle.
The record quickly became an anthemic soundtrack to a whole generation of young party lovers.
But DWP has not stopped with just one headline act. The team has locked in a jam-packed lineup of world-class performers set to keep the vibes high throughout the weekend.
Organizers say festival-goers must “get ready for 3 days of extraordinary and exclusive experiences, featuring David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DJ Snake, Fisher, Steve Angello B2B Sebastian Ingrosso, Alok, Galantis and many more artists to be announced from various sub-genres under the umbrella of electronic dance music; techno, trance, house, trap, hardstyle and more.”
The DWP Team has thought of everything to create a magical, immersive festival experience. The festival’s main stage will be known as ‘Garuda Land’ and will be constructed in the shape of a bird, inspired by Indonesia’s Garuda Pancasila, the national coat of arms.
With just over 60 days to go until the festival, anyone questioning whether to go better makes up their mind quickly.
Tickets are selling fast, and if previous DWP events are any measure to go by, the festival will sell out.
There are a range of ticket options and packages to choose from.
These include general admission single or 3-day passes and VIP tickets with access to exclusive extras.
Travel packed starts from IDR 9.5 million for a 3-day pass and 3-night stay at top hotels in the Jimbrana and Nusa Dua areas just a short drive from the festival grounds.
