World Famous Beach Club Founders To Open Third Padel Club In Bali Tourist Hotspot

Padel is the fastest-growing sport in the world. The racket game is booming in popularity across Indonesia and has become a part of everyday life for thousands of people in Bali.

With Padel clubs to be found in almost all of Bali’s biggest tourism destinations, demand for the sport is clear; the island is about to welcome not one, but two more in the coming weeks.

Holywings Padel Club is one of the most popular padel clubs in BSD City, just outside of central Jakarta. Holywings is also the company behind the world’s biggest beach club, Atlas Beach Club, which can be found in the heart of Canggu.

Atlas Beach Club is a record-breaking venue overlooking Canggu’s Berawa Beach. Not only is the venue the world’s largest beach club, but it is also home to the longest beach bar in Asia and the longest poolside in Southeast Asia.

Day passes start at IDR 199,000 and allow access to the club’s open sitting areas, including the picnic booth, sunset pbar, hidden islands bean bags, and pavilion rooftop deck, though for the best experience, booking private sun loungers or cabanas is highly recommended.

Holywings has confirmed that they will be opening two brand new padel clubs in Bali. The team has revealed precious little about the new venture, but this is a team that takes a no-half-measures approach to everything they do.

Holywings Padel Club has already opened courts at Atlas Beach Club, offering padel players the unique opportunity to rally with an ocean view. The two new locations have not been revealed by Holywings Padel Club, but they have given just enough information to pique the interest of Bali’s padel lovers.

The team has shared “Following the massive success of its flagship location in BSD City, Holywings is bringing its signature ‘sportstainment’ vibe to Bali’s thriving padel scene.

The new facility aims to capitalise on the island’s status as Southeast Asia’s padel hub, blending high-energy athletics with Bali’s world-famous social lifestyle.”

It is true that the rise of ‘sportstainment’ has been huge in Bali over the last few years. The island is attracting an increasingly health-conscious and fitness-obsessed demographic, resulting in a sharp rise in the number of sports, fitness, and wellness facilities opening across the island’s top resort areas.

For over a decade, yoga was one of the most popular health and wellness activities for tourists visiting Bali, alongside surfing. However, in the last five years, fitness, sports, entertainment, and community have come together in totally new and expansive ways.

Two Men Play Padel

It is not only padel clubs that have seen a sharp rise in demand in Bali, but also run clubs too.

Whether in Canggu, Seseh, Ubud, Seminyak, or Denpasar, run clubs are proving to be an increasingly popular way for local residents and immigrants to the island to socialize, as well as for long-stay digital nomads and passing tourists to get together to share a love of fitness, coffee, and the island of Bali.

Many of Bali’s most popular run clubs are also connected with coffee shops, like FLOWERBOY in Seseh and 831 Coffee Club in Kerobokan just outside of Canggu. These clubs are warm and welcoming and open to anyone enthusiastic enough to turn up at the crack of dawn.

For example, the FLOWERBOY community run club meets at the community center at 6 am every Wednesday and Saturday, with a guided 5km and 10km option available for attendees.

Though the run club is free to participate in, many runners opt to buy a coffee at the beginning and/or end of their run to support the FLOWERBOY team, because running with the help of caffeine is more fun and because the coffee and drinks menu are genuinely irresistible.
