A Russian national named Ekatrina Trubkina who previously assisted her boyfriend to escape from the Immigration Office detention has been deported back to Russia.

As The Bali Sun previously reported, the incident occurred when Trubkina visited her boyfriend, Andrew Ayer, who was on the run from Russian Interpol.

While he was being detained in Denpasar, Trubkina helped him escape. The couple was finally found and arrested by police at a villa in North Kuta two weeks later.

After getting arrested on February 24, 2021, Trubkina was jailed inside Kerobokan Prison Class IIA on March 19.

The Head of Bali Law and Human Rights Minister, Jamaruli Manihuruk said that she was sent to the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office Class I to collect data such as her documents and fingerprints.

“After completing all the requirements, our officers took her to Ngurah Rai International Airport at around that same day and send her to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta,” Manihuruk said during a press conference on Sunday (21/3).

The officers at Jakarta airport had to double-check all her documents for six hours before she flew back to Russia at 9:35 pm.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend Andrew is serving jail time in Bali after being sentenced to 1.5 years imprisonment for possessing 0.5 grams of hashish on top of being a fugitive of the Russian Interpol and escaping from Bali detention.

Many people, including the Head of Denpasar Police Department, were disappointed with the Judges’ decision, as they believe he should have got a longer sentence in accordance with the Indonesian Constitution for what he has done.

Did BIN check if he is perhaps working for CIA and was on the run from FSB former KGB. - If Obama would come to Indonesia again he would probably end up in jail too, because he told once to press reporters that he was smoking ganja too.
