Bali’s is a destination synonymous with arts and culture.

Tourists travel from all over the world to learn about the island’s ancient cultural practices and artistry, but the island is far from stuck in the past.

Bali is a destination that brings today’s world-class artists to the stage.

From jazz to pop, dance to disco, Bali welcomes one of the world’s most highly esteemed musicians to the islands on a regular basis.

With such a thriving nightlife scene across the south of the island, from Uluwatu through to Canggu, Bali’s biggest entertainment venues can accommodate huge artists and their fans.

Later this month, The Lawn in Canggu will welcome none other than Tame Impala to the stage. The superstar DJ and producer will be performing a rare and exclusive live set to an intimate audience overlooking the ocean on Friday, 29th March.

The show kicks off the Easter weekend in Bali and is set to sell out, with many of the top tickets already having been snapped up.

Ticket and Table Packages are now available starting at IDR 15,000,000 for four people on a lounge table.

Tame Impala is best known for tracks like “The Less I Know The Better,” “Let It Happen,” and “Borderline.”

He has collaborated with the likes of Travis Scott, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Mark Ronson, SZA, and more. Tickets are available now via The Lawn and Megatix.

From psychedelic pop rock to strictly classical, The Padma Legian will be welcoming internationally acclaimed concert pianist George Harliono on Sunday 7th April.

The Indonesian-British classical pianist will be performing in the magical Plumeria Ballroom at Padma Legian Resort in what will be a magical return to Bali for the 23-year-old.

Harilono has performed some of the world’s greatest compositions on the world’s greatest stages.

He has performed in Moscow at the International Tchaikovsky Competition, winning a highly acclaimed silver medal. Hariono was touted as a rising star by the UK’s Classical FM.

Hariono has been performing since the age of 12 and, with over a decade under his belt, is not only an esteemed musician but also a seasoned showman.

He will perform for one night only in Bali. Tickets for the show, titled “Kembali to Bali Classic Concert,” start at IDR 500,000 for regular seats and IDR 800,000 for VIP seating and can be booked via the Book My Show platform.

Bali lovers can expect to see even more incredible live acts coming to the island and Indonesia more broadly in the coming months and years.

The Minister for Tourism and Creative Economies, Sandiaga Uno, has established the Indonesian Tourism Fund, which he hopes can help secure more international artists to come and perform.

Speaking to reporters in Australia last month, Minister Uno said, “This year, the government will disburse 2 trillion Rupiah through special tourism funds or the Indonesia Tourism Fund (ITF).”

He added, “I’m sure we will start [attracting more artists] with the Indonesia Tourism Fund. It is hoped that with this tourism fund, we can bid for good events in the coming years.”

Minister Uno joked “We need several incentives first; we need what the Singapore government and the Australian government did, namely bringing in Taylor Swift.

We need ‘Swiftnomics’ (the economic boost seen by a visit from Taylor Swift) in Indonesian tourism.”

Leading entertainment venues in Bali are already hosting international superstars on a regular basis.

Tourists only have to look at the events schedule for venues like Savaya in Uluwatu, Finns in Canggu, Atlas Beach Club in Canggu, and many more to see their favorite artists topping the bill.

There is also hope that music festivals will grow in Bali. The first weekend of March saw the return of the Joyland Festival to Nusa Dua, and the Suara Festival is set to return to Nuanu City in Tabanan in late July.

Hariono was forced to give up his Indonesian passport and citizenship in order to study music in Europe on his UK passport. Now he can only visit Indonesia as a foreigner on a visa. It's absurd that dual citizenship is denied for such quality people. What a loss to Indonesia!

On behalf of Geroge Harliono, thank you for this kind article. The article contains two links to videos of George Harliono. He is asking, if possible, that the first link be changed to the following link, which he feels is of a much superior quality. Thanks in advance. The preferred link: LINK
