Upgrades Coming Soon To Bali’s Popular Nusa Dua Tourism Resort

Share The Article

Nusa Dua is one of Bali’s most established and luxurious tourism resorts. Formally managed as the ITDC The Nusa Dua, the resort complex area also includes the stunning Peninsula Esland and iconic Water Blow.

It is in this pocket of Nusa Dua where some major investments are being made to level up the experience for all visitors.

Tourists heading over to The Nusa Dua’s Peninsula Island and Water Blow will catch sight of the next phase of the rejuvenation work that has commenced in the last week.

The project has been funded and coordinated by InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), and the objective is simple: to create a Nusa Dua that is more organized, modern, and remains globally competitive.

The overall project is now in Week 18 and is sitting at around 15% completion. According to the Nusa Dua General Manager, I Made Agus Dwiatmika, the Water Blow access and development phase of work on Peninsula Island has reached 75% completion; the highest among the project areas.

The development and rejuvenation of the Gate AC access road to Peninsula Island has reached 30% completion. Wastewater installation, infiltration, and Ground Water Tank (GWT) work are still at 12% completion, though they are not deemed to be lagging behind.

Dwiatmika told reporters, “The rejuvenation of the Peninsula Island area is not only intended to enhance the area’s aesthetics, but also to ensure infrastructure and public facilities are more responsive to the needs of international events and quality tourism.”

Although Nusa Dua is considered one of the most developed and established resort areas in Bali, the ITDC aims to go above and beyond to upgrade infrastructure and future-proof the area.

Dwiatmika explained that road access to the Peninsula is underway, including the construction of rainwater catchment units in the bay area.

Supporting facilities such as tourist restrooms and massage parlors for community groups are also underway. ITDC has also been focusing on improving construction quality control and material procurement to ensure smooth progress.

Soon, the Water Blow will look very different indeed. Dwiatmika explained to reporters that the development down at the Water Blow area will include a new wedding venue, the construction of a stage area, and the installation of andesite stone as a finishing touch to the pedestrian path.

He concluded, “This effort also strengthens The Nusa Dua’s position as a world-class tourism destination that prioritizes quality, sustainability, and a superior travel experience.”

For tourists visiting and vacationing in The Nusa Dua, disruptions have been kept to a minimum, and construction work is not affecting nearby hotels and resorts. Tourist visits to Water Blow and Peninsula Island can continue as usual. The Nusa Dua is more than just a vacation resort, it is an area for community gathering and major events.

On Sunday, 26th April, the ITDC Nusa Dua hosted the 2026 Adhyaksa International Run, which has been hailed as a success.

Dwiatmika told reporters, “The holding of the 2026 Adhyaksa International Run in The Nusa Dua is a crucial opportunity to strengthen the region’s appeal not only as a leisure destination but also as a leading venue for various sporting events. We are committed to providing a world-class experience while prioritizing sustainability and comfort for all participants.”

On 26th July 2026, thousands of runners will come together on Peninsula Island for Culture Run Bali. This open-level event will be a great opportunity for tourists and residents to come together to celebrate Bali culture, environmental awareness, and sport.
