Ukrainian Mother And Daughter Deported After Overstaying Visa in Bali

The Immigration Office of Denpasar has deported a 39-year-old Ukranian woman, Tetyana Vecherkova, along with her daughter after a month long investigation.

The foreigners were sent home by The Denpasar Immigration Office Class I via Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Jakarta on Thursday (3/12) at 9:30 pm.

Bali Law and Human Rights Public Relation Officer, I Putu Surya, said the two foreigners were deported after a month long investigation by The Immigration Officers.

“After an ongoing investigation, we attained their documents and found that they had overstayed for quite a while” said Surya during an interview on Friday (4/12).

Vecherkova and her daughter had been held by authorities during the deportation process. Finally on Wednesday (2/12), they were escorted by officers to Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.

The tourists were caught violating Article 75 Paragraph (1) Constitution Number 6 Year 2011 about Immigration.

“She won’t be able to travel to Indonesia for some time after” Surya concluded.

They were sent home by Turkish Airlines TK57 and TK457 at 9:40 pm from Jakarta.
