Two personnel from the Badung Police Department have been dishonorably fired from the police institution for drug trafficking in Bali.
The official discharge process was conducted by the Head of the Badung Police Department, AKBP Leo Dedy Defretes, at his office on Monday (17/1).
The two personnel were identified as Aiptu I Gusti Ngurah Menara, who served with the Mengwi police department, and Briptu Gede Made Ardana, who served with the Badung police department. Both were fired for their involvement in drug trafficking in Bali.
“The noblest job is the job that won’t violate the constitutions,” said AKBP Defretes during the opening ceremony.
Menara was charged with 11 years imprisonment, and Ardana was charged with 8 years imprisonment for circulating crystal meth on the island.
Defretes warned all remaining personnel to do their job per the Indonesian constitution by providing service and protection to the citizens.
“Instead of doing their task properly, they violated and damaged our respected police institution by committing crimes involving narcotics,” AKBP Defretes concluded. He drew an x-mark on the photos of both suspects during the procession to symbolize their discharge.
