Bali’s Kuta Beach has long been the most popular resort area on the island.
The iconic vacation destination was visited by the Indonesian Minister for Tourism and Creative Economies this weekend, who took an early morning run along the beach walk.
Minister Uno says that things are looking up in Kuta.
Minister Uno, who is often stopped by the media during his early morning runs wherever he may be in Indonesia, shared that he was happy to see the resurgence in demand for tourism at Kuta Beach.
As Bali continues to recover from the impacts of the pandemic, some areas have been quicker to bounce back than others.
While Kuta has long been the mainstay of Bali’s resort tourism, since borders reopened, there has been increasing demand for tourism experiences in newer destinations like Canggu.
This, until recently, left Kuta Beach quieter than in pre-pandemic times.

Minster Uno told reporters, “Wow, if you look at Kuta Beach, it’s already recovered. But we have to think about how we should improve public services because we see the high level of public interest.”
It is a valid point; many tourists heading to Kuta Beach have noted that the area could do with a little TLC.
As areas like Uluwatu and Canggu boom in development, everything looks shiny, new, and appealing to tourists. Kuta Beach is as charming as ever, but Minster Uno’s observations are fair; Kuta is started to show its age.
But progress is already underway. In recent months Kuta Beach has welcomed the arrival of a new outdoor playground for children, a skatepark, and improved picnic seating for both locals and tourists to enjoy.

Minster Uno said, “The skate park was really cool, and it became a very innovative spot and captures Generation Z and millennials who not only want to enjoy surfing but also surf on land by playing skateboards and in the sea.”
Construction work remains underway on the new sea wall that will run the length of Samigita Beach (Kuta Beach through to Seminyak Beach). Officials have assured tourists planning their visits to Bali that their experience of the beach will not be disturbed by the renovation efforts.

The Badung Regency Government, which is in charge of Bali’s leading tourist resorts, including Kuta, Seminyak, Legian, Canggu, Nusa Dua, and Uluwatu, is investing in further improvements in the area so that tourists have a comfortable and memorable stay.
They want to ensure that Kuta Beach remains the iconic holiday destination that has charmed millions of visitors over the years.
Kuta Beach is easily one of the best places in the world to learn to surf. There are dozens of highly regarded surf schools dotted around the resort town, offering tourists the chance to ride the waves like a pro.
Other areas of Bali churn up some pretty challenging surf that is far from beginner-friendly. But the gently rolling waves off Kuta Beach are the perfect playground for anyone wanting to give surfing a go.
Kuta Beach is perhaps best known for its beach bar-lined shoreline, where tourists can grab buckets of ice-cold beers to enjoy on bean bags and sun loungers.
And while kicking back in the sun is a must-do activity in Kuta, there are heaps to keep travelers entertained if they’re feeling a little more active.

The attractions like Waterbom, skate parks, a beachfront promenade...may draw people to Kuta. But they're most probably day trippers. That a RI politician likes jogging on the beach means bugger all.
To revive Kuta needs people staying there. I'd suggest it needs to reinvent itself. Get away from the get wasted image. Realise that quite rightly Koster is cracking down on the extreme type of behaviour that once characterised Kuta.
Tuban, Kuta and Legian have probably the best stretch of beach and surf in Bali. They're the closest to the airport and a good central point from which to explore the island.
Seminyak, Canggu and beyond have successfully become the go to areas as are Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa.
Look at why (excluding covid) then apply it to to redevelop.

Could be also promoted as non swimmer area with long distance’s walking tour’s by low tide. - It’s more or less unique, island in the sea often without sea = attraction.
