Bali is famously home to some of the best hotels in the world. From Ubud to Nusa Dua, from Sanur to Uluwatu, luxury-loving tourists and those who want to experience nothing but the best will undoubtedly always find what they are looking for in Bali.

While Bali may be home to many of the world’s favorite hotels, every year a low-key competition is underway to secure places in the upper echelons of the ‘world’s best hotels’ lists.
With top travel authorities, from travel magazines to award programs, from airlines to travel agents, all giving out their own accolades for top hotels, it is always a good idea to check in with the most prestigious listings to find out who the movers and shakers are in any given year.
In 2025 this is no exception. Tatler Magazine has confirmed its list of top hotels globally and of course, Bali’s most popular hotels and resorts feature highly on the list.
In a social media post, Tatler Travel shared, “Pristine beaches where wild horses roam free, tropical jungles that drape soaring valleys in a blanket of green, ancient temples that sit calm and quiet amongst pink and orange skies … Indonesia is arguably one of the most beautiful countries in the world.”
Adding “So it’s no wonder 12 hotels and resorts landed a spot in our inaugural Tatler Asia Best 100 Hotels list, launched in 2024.” With the 2025 list now published, all those named on the list have firmly deserved their acclaim, and tourists planning trips to Bali in the coming months should definitely add all of these getaways to their accommodation shortlist!
For travelers already familiar with Bali, the winners from this year’s listing will come as no surprise. Desa Potato Head and the highly acclaimed Four Seasons Hotel in Sayan are featured high on the list. Desa Potato Head was also listed among the World’s 50 Best Hotels in 2025 and continues to win awards as the year goes on.
The incomparable Alila Villas Uluwatu has earned a spot in the rankings. Further Hotel, Como Shambhala Estate, and Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape, have also been included on the Tatler Asia Best 100 Hotels list.
Tatler Asia has also just featured Lodge in the Woods as an unmissable retreat in Tabanan Regency. The getaway is also a sanctuary for animal rescues from around the island, including much-loved albino horses and a number of goats.

Tatler shares, “Guests can interact with these gentle creatures, learning their stories and supporting their well-being. Beyond animal encounters, the lodge emphasizes sustainable living with a pesticide-free vegetable garden providing fresh, organic meals.”
“The property fosters deep relaxation with a magnesium mineral pool and a dedicated “River House” for peaceful pursuits.”

It is not only luxury hotels in Bali that have been featured on Tatler Asia’s Best 100 Hotels list but some key winners have been named across the archipelago.
As tourism leaders in Indonesia want to establish Bali as more of a gateway destination for travelers seeking to explore new horizons around the country, the new list of top hotels provides the perfect source of inspiration.
With Indonesia now better connected via domestic flight routes than ever, there is nothing stopping tourists from booking a few magical nights in Bali before jetting onwards to lesser-visited areas of the country.

Winners included in Tatler Asia’s Best 100 Hotels for 2025 include the utterly breathtaking Bawah Reserve in the Riau Islands, Cap Karoso in Sumba, Nihi Sumba, and the regal Amajiwo in Central Java. Want to tick off all these destinations? We suggest starting in the Riau Islands, traveling onwards to Central Java, before arriving in Bali and ending a magical journey through Indonesia with a relaxing stay in Sumba.
