The Indonesian President. Joko Widodo (Jokowi) confirmed that the partial lockdown that was supposed to end on the 20th of July, has been extended until the 25th of July 2021. “After observing and listening to suggestions from the citizens, we plan to partially revoke all these restrictions on the 26th of July 2021 if Covid-19 transmissions are successfully reduced.” Jokowi said on Tuesday (20/7). Jokowi explained that the government has decided to give some leniency that will be announced by each provincial government during the extended partial lockdown.

Meanwhile Bali Governor, I Wayan Koster has issued a new decree that announced some new policies during the extended partial lockdown such as :

– grocery store and traditional markets are allowed to operate with 50% of the capacity until 8:00pm
– non essential businesses are allowed to operate with 25% of capacity until 9:00pm
– the governor has revoked the policy to turn off all public street lights during the lockdown
– street vendors are allowed to operate until 9:00pm while providing take-away service only

However, the president hasn’t announced any changes on the travel restrictions that started when the emergency partial lockdown was implemented on the 3rd of July 2021 as The Bali Sun has previously reported.

Too soon to relax the partial lockdown beyond July 26th. Indonesia is not ready to be heading into an uncharted territory. For example UK is testing its citizens with lifting the covid restrictions last Monday. Half of the population are vaccinated but the remaining unvaccinated ones may be hospitalized (and overwhelm health workers) or simply just die.

In Europe are Covid infections on rise again now about 30 per 100k, but could reach by September or October 800.

You’re politicians are going to destroy your country. Between the lockdowns and their foolish dependencies on these un-tested vaccines it will cause damage beyond what you have ever seen before. They could easily drop this virus in its tracks by copying what India did on May 11th; distribute Ivermectin free to all your citizens.
