Student Takes Her Own Life Life By Consuming Potassium In Bali

A 15-year-old girl (initials DKA) from Sukasada has taken her own life by consuming potassium while inside her bedroom.

The head of Sukasada Police Department, Kompol Wayan Sartika confirmed that DKA was found lifeless in her room by her father (initials DKT, 48) on Sunday (4/4). “The body was found by her father in her room on Sunday afternoon at 12:00 am, but at first he thought she was sleeping, but she didn’t respond when he tried to wake her up,” Kompol Sartika said.

Sartika explained that the father also found some potassium in a glass located next to his daughter’s body. After realizing that DKA had consumed the potassium, he rushed her to Balimed Hospital Singaraja for medical attention, but unfortunately, the doctor announced her dead on the spot.

Meanwhile, the case is still under police investigation to find out the victim’s reason behind this unfortunate incident.

DKA’s family was shocked about the incident as DKA was known as a cheerful person. “We have collected all information from her family, and they said that she was a cheerful person but never talked about her personal life. They also have no idea how she got access to potassium, but we already seized the glass that she used to consume it for further investigation” Kompol Sartika concluded.
