Bodene who had been staying next to Gav’s room tried to call her friend by knocking the door, but became suspicious after not hearing any response. After that Bodene decided to open the door, and she was shocked when she saw that Gav had hung himself inside his room that day. When noticing that her friend was already lifeless, she yelled to people nearby for help. A few minutes later, police officers arrived and sent the body to the Sanglah Hospital using an ambulance from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

Meanwhile the Head of the Badung Public Relations Police Officer, Iptu I Ketut Oka Bawa explained that Gav had decided to commit suicide due to depression and health issues that he had been facing prior to his death. “According to the investigation by the medical staff, Walter decided to end his life due to depression and severe pain from the arthritis that he had. Apart from that, we didn’t find any wounds from physical assault.” Iptu Oka Bawa concluded on Wednesday evening.

Jakoś nie wierzę w samobójstwa tych ludzi.. zbyt wielu cudzoziemców na rajskiej wyspie umiera w niewyjaśnionych okolicznościach.. Uważajcie na siebie "bule" nie ufajcie nikomu. Somehow I do not believe in the suicides of these people .. too many foreigners on the paradise island die in mysterious circumstances .. Beware of yourself "boules" do not trust anyone.
