“We plan to finish the first phase of vaccination in six days, but we will extend it if necessary in order to vaccinate 1,200 of our residents” Jambyantara added.

He noted that all participants were enthusiastic to get vaccinated while supporting the government’s plans to reopen the border.

Meanwhile, the Head of Denpasar House of Representatives, I Wayan Mariyana Wandhira said that the government decided to distribute vaccines from AstraZeneca to the residents in Sanur despite the suspension of AstraZeneca vaccines in some countries after people suffered negative side effects.

“AstraZeneca vaccine was properly tested by our official drugs administration, and it was proven to be safe for distribution. But still, I urged the government to take the responsibility if people have some side effects post-vaccination” Wandhira said.
