Man Transported To Mental Hospital After Causing Disturbance In Denpasar Bali

A 29-year-old man with the initials WN was detained and transported to a mental hospital for causing a disturbance in his neighborhood in Denpasar.

A medical official of West Denpasar II, Nopi, confirmed that the man was detained after nearby residents reported his bizarre behavior.

He had been going through a rough time, as he got laid off from his job and was left by his partner several months prior.

“The man would often cause disturbance by shouting at everyone in his neighborhood. According to our data, this man had skipped his medication for over three months now,” Nopi said on Friday (18/2).

Nopi confirmed that WN was previously diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia.

WN was detained without attempts to resist the authorities of the Denpasar Civil Service Office.

“After testing negative from Covid-19 with an antigen test, the man was transported to Bangli Mental Hospital to receive proper medical treatment,” Nopi concluded.
