Locals stalls along Melasti Beach, Ungasan have been destroyed after catching fire on Sunday morning (17/4).

One of the police officers who investigated the incident confirmed that 8 local stalls were severely damaged by the fire incident that occurred on early Sunday morning.
“All these shops that were run by locals from Ungasan Village were completely destroyed. No one was around when the incident occurred,” said an officer. The incident was spotted by a beach official named Pulih (aged 61) while he was picking up garbage along the beach at 5:30 am.

After he spotted smoke and fire from one of the stalls, Pulih immediately reported the incident to Ungasan Village Officials and called the Fire Brigade to extinguish the fire.
“The Fire Brigade put out the fire by 7:30 am, but most of the things inside the stalls were already destroyed,” the officer added.

The Head of South Kuta Police Department, Kompol I Ketut Sugiarta Yoga, confirmed that per the footage from the CCTV camera, the fire started from a middle stall.
“We’re still investigating the cause of the fire. Fortunately, nobody was injured though the stall owners potentially lost thousands of dollars from the incident,” Kompol Sugiarta concluded.

Fire insurance is desired, especially if somebody is using tinder app on the beach where in sooner future beach clubs will be placed. Some tourists already laughing about beach clubs with swimming pools on the beach, because there is a sea where is nearly impossible to swim.
