Joyland Festival will be returning to Bali in 2023. The festival showcases some of the hottest musical and creative talent Indonesia has to offer…which is heaps! Following a hugely successful comeback event earlier this year, Joyland 2023 will land in Bali on the 17th, 18th, and 19th of March.

Event organizers are remaining coy about where the festival will be held in Bali. They have shared that the extravaganza will be hosted in an open green space offering plenty of room for festivalgoers to let loose. The program will feature everything from live sets from Indonesia’s most iconic musical legends but comedy, film, workshops, and a marketplace.

The full lineup is yet to be announced, but Joyland is never one to hold back when it comes to getting the best headliners in the business. They have just confirmed that Grammy award-winning Phoenix will be topping the bill with many more names to be announced in the next few weeks. In March this year, Basboi, The Adams, and Maliq & D’Essentials all graced the stages in Taman Bhagawan in Nusa Dua.

The Joyland Bali 2022 festival was the first major public event to be held on the island after the first big reduction in Covid-19 restrictions. President Joko Widodo even made an unannounced appearance, along with other members of the government, to celebrate the return of live events. His presence at the event was a huge thumbs up for the event sector that was decimated during lockdowns.

The Joyland Festivals, held in Bali and Jakarta, cater to a majority Indonesian audience, though tickers are of course, available to everyone. The festival is an excellent opportunity for international residents and tourists in Bali to dive into the vibrant Indonesian music scene at the country’s very own Coachella.

Branded as a “multisensory festival that collaborates with artists in various creative fields,” the festival is an open, friendly, and seriously fun occasion. Tickets are on sale now at Early Bird rates on the ticketing platform Loket. A three-day entry pass costs just IDR 318,000 (USD 20) and offers access to all events across the festival.

Joyland Festival is just one of many major events to be held in Bali next year. For those looking for a music festival with a more international lineup, look no further than Dream Machine 2023. The four-day festival features ‘ nonstop adventure; with daily pool parties, endless activities, Balinese culture and artists lighting up the Nusa Dua Peninsula over three incredible nights’.

The lineup has recently been announced and includes Boy & Bear, Groove City, and Client Liaison. The festival offers ticket and travel packages that include all festival activities, four nights of accommodation, daily breakfast, and airport transfers.
