Authorities from the Tabanan Civil Service Office detained four homeless children from the streets in Tabanan.

The Head of the Tabanan Social Agency, Woman Empowerment, and Child Protection, I Nyoman Gede Gunawan, confirmed that four underage street dwellers were detained from Jalan Bypass Ir. Soekarno, Tabanan on Thursday (6/1).
“Four homeless kids that were detained by the authorities. Three of them are female, and all of them came from East Java,” Gunawan said on Thursday.

During the interrogation, they admitted that they didn’t have any specific purpose for coming to the island. So, the Civil Service Officers just gave them a warning before handing them to the Social Agency workers, who finally transported them back to their hometown.

“The social agency decided to transport them back to their hometown. This is to prevent them from causing further problems and violations in the Tabanan region,” Gunawan added.
After they tested negative of Covid-19 through rapid antigen test, the Bali Social Agency, in cooperation with the Social Agency in East Java, transported the four children back to East Java.
