Officials from Jasamarga Toll Road Maintenance (PT. JMRM) and Jasamarga Bali Toll (PT JBT) have started the first maintenance for Bali Mandara Toll Road after 8 years of operation.

The Manager Operation Assistant and maintenance of PT JBT, I Putu Gandi Ginantra confirmed that Bali Toll Road maintenance and inspection have just begun to fix several issues on the infrastructure that has been operating since 2013. “After previously being inspected by experts, maintenance will be conducted from October 23rd to November 14th, 2021,” Ginantra said on Saturday (23/10).

According to the latest inspection, officials will conduct several different tasks to fix this road such as scrapping, filling, overlay (SFO), expanding joints, reconstructing, and hardening the road. This program was initiated as a prevention stage to avoid further damage on the toll road which could potentially cause an incident. “This program was started to prevent further damage to this road, so we decided to partially fix the issues,” Ginantra added.

Despite conducting this maintenance, the President Director of PT JBT, I Ketut Adipura Karang ensured that the toll road will stay operating with several adjustments. “We have prepared to stay partially operational, so a total closure will not be necessary,” Adipura said. However, Adipura also ensured that all the construction workers will comply with prevention protocols as well as officers will be on-site to help direct traffic.
