Tourists planning vacations in Bali have numerous variables to consider. High season vs low season, on the beaten path or off the beaten path, and of course, dry season or wet season. Bali, being so close to the equator, does not experience four distinct seasons like so much of the world. Rather, the island and Indonesia more broadly experience two distinct seasons: the wet and the dry season.
It is true that Bali can offer tourists year-round sunshine. It’s just that during parts of the year, sunshine gets hidden for large parts of the day as heavy rainstorms get blown across the island, bringing torrential downpours.
