Bali Vice Governor Projects A full Recovery For The Island By 2022

The Bali Vice Governor, Cok Ace has projected that Bali will make a full economic recovery by 2022.

According to the Vice Governor many steps have already been taken by both the Central and Provincial Governments to bring Bali out of the economic crisis once the island reopens.

The main focus of the efforts have been to gain back the trust of tourists that Bali is ready and is a safe place to visit.

“We will get the chance [to quickly recover] if we can assure the travelers that they will be safe from the risk of getting infected by Covid-19 while visiting the island. Therefore we will continue to enforce all the prevention protocols in all public places” said Ace during a conference in Nusa Dua.

Cok Ace reminded the people of Bali to to be hopeful and that travel operators need watch patterns of economic activity around the world. 

Bali tourism businesses need to be aware of the global economic situation especially in countries that often visit Bali. 

He predicted that when the Covid-19 vaccine is distributed in 2021, the confidence levels in travel for both the domestic and international tourism markets will quickly increase.

According to vaccine projections, Cok Ace hopes that the recovery rate of the international visitors will bounce back to 50 percent by the end of 2021, and will be fully recovered in 2022.

“Bali’s economic situation will be back to normal again by 2022” Cok Ace stated.

The economic growth of Bali in the current year is predicted to reach negative 9%, and predicted to improve to negative 4% in 2021.
