Industry leaders in Bali are working to promote the island’s beauty and wellness space to a new generation of tourists.
From 27th to 29th June, Bali will host the Bali Wellness and Beauty (BWB) Expo 2025. Following the success of the Beautiverse event held in early May, this event is anticipated to bring even more attention to the sector.

The Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo 2025 will be held at The Meru in Sanur from June 27th to 29th. The event’s theme is ‘Grow-well in Bali: Where Wellness Becomes Beauty’. This is the first time the event will be held in Bali, and this inaugural international exhibition is targeting to welcome more than 3,000 visitors over three days, showcasing the best of holistic health, beauty, and sustainable tourism.
Speaking to reporters, the Head of Marketing for the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Ida Ayu Indah Yustikarini, emphasized that the Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo 2025 is in line with the government’s vision to develop health tourism as the main pillar of Bali tourism post the Covid-19 pandemic.
Yustikarini told reporters, “Bali has a unique culture, local genius, beautiful natural scenery, and spiritual vibrations. Plus the friendliness of the Balinese people, this is the main attraction.” She shared her view that Bali competitive advantage over other beauty and wellness travel destinations with its cultural richness, local wisdom, and natural beauty that support health tourism, especially wellness tourism.
She revealed that the expo will feature activities such as yoga, meditation, traditional Balinese massage, spa therapies, and traditional Balinese herbal therapy, such as jamu, as part of the health tourism experience. All of which are increasingly popular with foreign tourists.
Yustikarini emphasised that she and her team want to build on the strong foundations for a world-leading beauty and wellness tourism sector on the island.
As outlined in the Bali Governor Regulation Number 55 of 2019 concerning Traditional Health Services, policies are in place to promote and protect Bali’s traditional healing and wellness practices both within the cultural landscape and within the tourism sector.
She noted that with the opening of the new Bali International Hospital and the Sanur Special Economic Zone for Medical Tourism, Bali is now primed and ready to present a new era of beauty and wellness tourism experiences to international tourists.
Yustikarini explained, “We want to attract foreign tourists while preventing Indonesians from going abroad for health care, such as to Singapore or Penang. It is better for them to come to Bali.”
She added that her teams will be working with the Bali Tourism Office to help rebrand the island as a beauty and wellness destination, as well as an integrated medical tourism destination. Yusitkarini added “Branding Bali is no longer just about culture and history since the 1920s. Now, we are promoting Bali as a wellness destination for body, mind and soul.”

Speaking separately the Co-Founder and Director of BWB Expo 2025, Diah Permana Tirtawati accompanied by Managing Director of PT Melali MICE, Ketut Jaman, emphasized to reporters that this event is not just a trade exhibition, but an event that will bring the tourism sector together, and even offer plenty for tourists to enjoy too.
