In anticipation of the surge in criminal activity during the upcoming holiday season in Bali, the Abiansemal Police Department initiated this program to create a safer environment during the partial lockdown level 3. Under this lockdown, most areas will be quieter due to the curfew policy that will be implemented during the year-end holiday season.

“We will reguarly patrol shopping and residential areas to prevent criminal activities like motorbike theft, which usually occurs in the evening,” Ipda I Ketut Arsana said. Officers will also ensure that everyone is compliant with the prevention protocols implementation to avoid creating a new cluster of Covid-19.

“The Covid-19 pandemic is not yet over, so I urge everyone to keep complying with the protocols,” Ipda Arsana concluded.

What “holiday” are they talking about? Once upon a time ‘foreigners’ ( mainly Aussie) booked a trip for a Christmas getaway. There is no Christmas in Bali this year….there’s no foreigners, and maybe the next two or three are cancelled as well. Tourist tours should ‘ give it a rest’. BTW, I see that Holiday House prices and foreign concerned real estate is dropping like a stone….down 50% and more. IMHO it has the look of a market in free fall. I wouldn’t “ catch a falling knife” while prices crash and over correct as falling markets always do. The real price of Bali vacation homes, given that in total 93 foreigners came to Bali all of 2021…..is zero. And believe you me, pool villas on the beach in Thailand are far cheaper by half, in a country that’s 100 times more modern with all the mod-cons…But…..once the foreigners are gone, that’s when price discovery will happen. Free fall is an ugly place to be financially.
