In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the Traffic Unit of Bangli District Police distributed flowers and chocolates to road users passing on Jalan Brigjen Ngurah Rai on Friday. Officers also informed motorists to always be orderly and obey traffic laws.

Drivers and residents were overwhelmed with happiness by the gesture of police on Friday when they pulled over select motorists to surprise them with chocolates and flowers.

Kasat Lantas Bangli Policing AKP I Nengah Sona said, this activity was carried out as an effort to bring the National Police closer to the people. “We also hope that road users will always obey the traffic rules,” he said.

Bali police randomly selected drivers that were using seatbelts and helmets and rewarded them with a chocolate or rose.

For those that were breaking the law or driving in a disorderly manner, police only used sympathetic reprimands instead of issuing tickets.
