Bali Police Finally Capture The Kerobokan Prison Inmate Who Recently Escaped

Badung Police Officers have finally managed to capture an inmate who recently managed to escape from the Kerobokan Prison in Bali.

As The Bali Sun previously reported, an inmate who was identified as I Gede Loka Jaya had managed to escape from the Kerobokan Prison by jumping over the prison’s wall on Saturday evening (2/10). After almost one week of investigating, the suspect was found. And because he attempted to resist arrest on Sunday (10/10), he was shot by police.

The Head of Badung Public Relations Officer, Iptu Ketut Sudana explained that once the suspect successfully escaped from the Kerobokan Prison, he continue to walk towards Pengubengan intersection in North Kuta, and then ordered a motorbike taxi to take him to a KFC restaurant on Jalan Kebo Iwa. From there he then asked a truck driver to take him to Mengwi bus station for free.

“After arriving at Mengwi bus station, he was picked up by his friend Kris, who brought the suspect to his home in Jembrana.” Iptu Sudana said on Monday (11/10).

On the following day, the suspect managed to steal a motorbike from a hotel’s parking lot that is located in Baluk Village, Jembrana only to trade it up for another stolen bike from a different hotel located in Jembrana.

When the officers finally found him on Jalan Nangka, Denpasar on Sunday evening (10/10), the suspect attempted to resist arrest by defending himself with a knife. Shortly after, the police finally managed to arrest him by shooting his right leg to stop him from assaulting the officers and regaining control of the situation.
