Bali Police Arrest A Man Who Assaulted Someone For Looking At His Girlfriend

 A 34-year-old man named I Gusti Ngurah Agung Karna has been arrested for assaulting a man who looked at his girlfriend in Denpasar.

   The Head of the South Denpasar Criminal Investigation Bureau, AKP Hadimastika Karsito Putro confirmed that the perpetrator was arrested in his hometown in Buleleng on Monday (6/9) afternoon around 4:00pm. “After receiving a report from the victim with the initials RJB (aged 24) regarding the incident, we began our investigation and arrested the suspect in his hometown in northern Bali on Monday.” AKP Hadimastika said on Wednesday (8/9).

  Prior to the incident, the suspect arrived at the scene with his girlfriend to withdraw some cash from an ATM machine that is located in front of the UD Aryawan Minimarket in Pedungan, South Denpasar on Saturday early morning (4/9) around 3:20am. Minutes after leaving the scene, the suspect came back and started threatening the victim because he was offended when the victim had looked at his girlfriend.

The suspect began to assault the victim, causing the victim to suffer serious injury. Once the suspect left the scene, a witness who attempted to stop the suspect from assaulting his friend rushed RJB to the Surya Husada hospital in order to receive medical attention for his injuries before filing a report to the police. “We finally managed to arrest him while he was hiding at his relative’s home in Buleleng. The victim had to receive several stitches in his face by a doctor due to this incident.” AKP Hadimastika concluded.
