A karaoke business, Boshe VVIP Karaoke is being investigated by police officer for allegedly still operating during the emergency partial lockdown.
The Head of Denpasar Public Relation Officer, Iptu I Ketut Sukadi has confirmed that police officers started their investigation after receiving information regarding a karaoke business that allegedly violated the emergency partial lockdown policy. “Our units from the Criminal Investigation Bureau Team is scheduled to begin their inspection today.” Iptu Sukadi said on Monday morning(19/7).
The investigation began when a witness who preferred to stay anonymous reported that Boshe VVIP that is located on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai 89X, Kuta has been operating despite the implementation of emergency partial lockdown in Bali.
Meanwhile according to the latest government’s instruction, all non-essential sectors were obligated to close during the implementation otherwise they would be potentially sanctioned for violating the rules.
The witness also explained that all the Boshe VVIP’s guests were required to use the side entrance in order to not attract the attention of authorities. In a video call that was made by the witness, the staff of Boshe VVIP were seen neglecting prevention protocols by not wearing face-masks while working.
The Head of Denpasar Police Department, Kombes Pol Jansen Avitus Pandjaitan said that Boshe VVIP will face strict penalties if the report if proven to be accurate.
