Bali Authorities To Start Distributing Covid-19 Vaccines To Public Residents

After targeting key community workers such as public service officials, teachers and government officials, Denpasar city government has decided to start distributing Covid-19 vaccine to public residents.

The Spokesman of the Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai confirmed that the Denpasar city government will start the Covid vaccine distribution to public residents in 11 different villages of Denpasar by Tuesday (4/5). “This time, we will start to distribute the vaccine to public residents above 18 years old in 11 different villages of West Denpasar today.” Gede Rai said on Tuesday (4/5).

Gede Rai explained that he will also vaccinate senior citizens and the rest of public service officials who haven’t received the vaccine on the previous vaccination program. “The eleven villages that are targeted to distribute the vaccine consist of Dauh Puri, Dauh Puri Kauh, Dauh Puri Kangin, Dauh Puri Kelod, Pemecutan, Pemecutan Kelod, Padangsambian Kelod, Padangsambian, Padangsambian Kaja, Tegal Tirta and Tegal Harum Village.” Gede Rai added.

Gede Rai has deployed 11 teams from West Denpasar Clinic 1 and West Denpasar Clinic 2 to operate the vaccination sites. “This vaccination program will start from the 4th to 10th of May 2021, targeting around 5,000 to 6,000 people each day. Recently we received another 110,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines from the central government, and all these vaccines were expected to be completely distributed within 3 weeks.” Gede Rai concluded.
