The Head of the Payangan Police Department, AKP I Putu Agus Ady Wijaya, confirmed that an officer detained a total of 4 motorbike riders. They violated traffic regulations by installing loud exhausts on their vehicles.

An operation called Cipta Kondisi was initiated in anticipation of restriction violations during the upcoming year-end holiday season.

“We’ve been focusing on preventing any criminal activity during the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Eve holiday season. This includes potential traffic violations. Hence, we inspect all vehicles that potentially carry dangerous items such as bombs, illegal drugs, firearms and alcohols,” AKP Wijaya said on Friday (10/12).

The operation was also conducted to ensure that all the vehicles were properly registered in accordance with the government’s regulations.

However, AKP Wijaya admitted that he and the other officers who conducted the operation didn’t find any dangerous items.

“We didn’t find dangerous items in the vehicles we inspected. Instead, we detained riders who rode customized motorbikes in a manner that would potentially annoy many people. These riders violated our traffic rules by installing loud exhausts and removing their registration numbers from the vehicles,” AKP Wijaya concluded.

It’s about time, the number of knalpot shops has been growing every year where you drive in with a little Scoopy or Vario and drive out with something that sounds like a Harley Davidson. Ridiculous, pointless and adding to the cacophany of thousands of these things already on the road. Why do Indonesian people love noise? Bali could be much more tranquil if they banned this stupid trend. Four down, a million to go

So annoying these super loud exhausts. Whats the point of them? People have been wanting the police to do something about them for years, just confiscate the bikes. The crackpots who do this will soon learn once they lose their bikes.

Hahahahah...4? Out of 4000 or 40 000? Apparently police doesn't have ears as these loud bangers rally around every night in Seminyak, Legian, Petitenget, Nakula, and elsewhere. ALL the time.. Year after year.
