13 people in Gunaksa Village, Dawan Sub-district Klungkung have been confirmed positive with Covid-19 while attending a funeral ceremony.
The Head of the Dawan Sub-district, I Dewa Gede Widiantara confirmed that over a dozen of his residents were infected with Covid-19 and currently undergoing self-isolation at their homes while the authorities keep tracing other people who previously had contact with the patients. “Among all the people who attended the funeral ceremony, 13 of them tested positive with Covid-19.” Widiantara said on Wednesday (14/7).

Meanwhile the Regent of the Klungkung District, I Nyoman Suwirta said that Klungkung currently has 100 active Covid-19 cases, where 27 of them are being treated at several different hospitals in Klungkung while the rest are undergoing quarantine at both houses and hotels as of Wednesday (14/7). “We still have a total of 100 active Covid-19 cases which were mostly infected through family clusters.” Suwirta concluded.
