A woman lost her consciousness in front of the check-in counter at the domestic terminal of Bali Ngurah Rai Airport.
The Stakeholder Relations Manager of Angkasa Pura I Ltd for Bali Ngurah Rai Airport, Taufan Yudhistira, confirmed that a woman identified as Asmary Junaid (aged 51) was evacuated from the departure terminal of Ngurah Rai Airport after losing her consciousness on Sunday (23/1).
“Yes, there was a woman who had been rushed to the hospital by the authorities,” Yudhistira said.
The incident occurred when the woman was queueing in front of Citilink’s check-in counter as she was scheduled to take a flight to Makassar. She suddenly lost consciousness after allegedly getting a heart attack on Sunday at 6:57 pm.
Some bystanders who saw the incident immediately called airport authorities to conduct medical assistance.
Officials from the Port’s Health Office (KKP) immediately came to the scene and transported the woman to BIMC hospital to receive proper medical attention.
According to the authorities, the incident was caused by a heart attack, so the woman was rushed to the hospital for further examination.
