If you’re in the market to live the Bali high life, there’s no two ways about it: Uluwatu is where you’ve got to go!
If you’re into surfing (or just like the surf aesthetic, we won’t judge!), if you want to party, if you want to soak up the sun and be surrounded by artists, creatives, hustlers, and let’s be honest, hotties, Uluwatu is calling your name!

Something that sets Uluwatu apart from many surf and party resorts around the world is that it appeals to and delivers to every demographic simultaneously.
Whether you’re a budget backpacker who is fumbling small notes together for your next Bintang, or whether you can’t remember the last time you checked your credit card statement and are about to order another bottle of Grey Goose, there is a party for everyone in Uluwatu.
Uluwatu’s hottest venues are constantly taking the game up a notch. From the ultra luxurious to the eclectic backpacker bars, there is always fun to be had down on the Bukit.
Those looking for a seriously fun, friendly party have to get themselves to Hatch. Plonked right in the heart of Uluwatu, Hatch is an art space, community hangout hub, and seriously cool late-night party venue.
Created using recycled, reclaimed, and renovated materials, Hatch feels like the backpacker bars of years gone by. Loud in all the right ways, the music system at Hatch is next level, and the place is just so darn colorful!
There are heaps of little nooks to hide away in if you’re looking for a moment to chill during a big party or to hang out during the day with a book or travel journal. If you’re looking to make new friends in Uluwatu, Hatch is the place to go; you’re in good hands with themed events, games nights, and incredible music!
Single Fin is one of Bali’s most famous surf beach clubs. Boasting the most incredible sunset view, Single Fin is laid back and an excellent option for those late afternoon hangs that turn into sundowners, a night of dancing, and an accidental sunrise…you know the kinds of nights we’re talking about!
A word to the wise: if you want to secure the best sunset seats, be sure to book a table in advance. You don’t want to rock up moments before the sun goes down.
You won’t catch the view, but you might catch some serious side eye if you’re wandering through looking for a spot on the packed-out terrace.
Striking the perfect balance between laid-back lounge and luxury hospitality, Ulu Cliffhouse seldom gets the hype it deserves. It’s giving Ibiza vibes with Bali views; it’s pretty darn dreamy if you ask us.
Ulu Cliffhouse is an ideal option if you want to find a spot and not move again all day or all night. You know who you are, and in Bali, who can blame you?

The beauty of Ulu Cliffhouse is that with the sun terrace, incredible service, awesome food, and epic views, you can spend the day chilling out and catching a tan and the evening partying and dancing til your heart’s content!
If you know you’re going to hang out all day and all night, definitely book a cabana in advance; that way, you know you’re getting the best seat in the house.

No mention of Uluwatu’s nightlife scene would be complete without a nod to Savaya.
Known as Bali’s most luxurious beach club, Savaya brings in some of the world’s biggest artists every month! With themed parties hosted every week, this huge beach club hosts many of Bali’s most legendary parties.

Curated events like Law of the Jungle in early 2025 attract a community of like-minded party lovers from all over Bali and the world. Be sure to keep a close eye on Savaya’s event schedule; when big-name artists come to town, tickets sell out fast!

Uluwatu is just becoming trash. Traffic jams and bad vibes from all the party people.

Up in the cliffs of stony island, it’s too artificial and uncomfortable especially for those who have to drive from Seminyak, Legian or even Kuta.

Uluwatu is full of venues bypasing zoning and building regulations: Build on beaches and cliffs. Locals talk about local wisdom and all but reality is that greed is good.
