Tourists planning travel in 2026 have plenty of exciting opportunities ahead. Bali, as a travel destination, is in flux, and leaders want to encourage visitors to explore lesser-visited areas. One of the best ways to explore the most culturally inspiring and authentic regions of Bali, as well as see more of Indonesia as a whole, is to plan a trip that includes travel between Bali and East Java.
In the coming months, a new direct seaplane flight will be launched, making it easier than ever for tourists to travel between Central Bali and East Java. Travelling overland is always a great option too, with tourists able to hire a local driver to travel from Central Bali through to Gilimanuk Harbour and hop on a ferry to East Java.
