Tourists Are Raving About The Improvements At Bali’s Best Waterpark

Bali’s biggest and most popular waterpark celebrated the launch of a huge new expansion earlier this year.

A few months into the new and revamped Waterbom theme park in the heart of Kuta, tourists are giving rave reviews about the resort’s most famous attraction.

Waterbom Bali has been founded and managed by the same family since its creation thirty years ago this year.

The founder, Santo Gulino, opened the waterpark with the vision that the site would not become a garish monstrosity on the landscape.

Instead, Gulino and his teams set out to create a waterpark that feels like a tropical oasis integrated into the landscape. And they have achieved this and so much more.

Waterbom’s most recent expansion created the new Oasis Garden, which spans over 1.3ha of the property. The new, elevated Waterbom features a new lagoon pool, gorgeous luxury chalets and so much more.

The Oasis Garden is so laid back that it is easy to forget that there is a whole water park filled with slides and rides just steps away.

Everyone is in agreement that Waterbom is a whole-day trip kind of adventure. While many of Bali’s big attractions can be ticked off over the course of a few hours, Waterbom is the kind of place that needs a full day…maybe two!

Waterbom is at its core a water park, but over the years the attraction has developed and evolved and is undoubtedly a day of fun in the sun for everyone. The rides and slides are just the start.

With pools and its very own Lazy River to cruise through on inflatables, there is something to keep everyone entertained, whatever the mood.

Travelers with young children will know all too frustratingly how poor the food and drink selection can be at some family attractions around the world. Waterbom has made dodgy theme park food a thing of the past.

Healthy, hearty, colorful, nourishing, and great value food and drinks are served from eight eateries across the park.

The Shack, located close to the Pleasure Pool, served up Caribbean-inspired snacks and cocktails, and for those seeking a bigger plate there is the Wantilan Food Court that serves an awesome range of Italian, Mexican, Japanese, and Indonesian specialties.

For little people with big appetites after a long day running around the park, the Bali Banana Cafe has the biggest kid’s menu of the eight food outlets.

Little ones can choose from pizzas, sandwiches, grab-and-go snacks, and much more.

The newly opened Oasis Gardens, which features four new exhilarating slides, a lavish lagoon swimming pool, and a cheeky swim-up bar, was just one of three expansions in the pipeline at Waterbom.

Not satisfied until they have reached their full potential, the team at Waterbom is committing to bringing Bali lovers the day trip of a lifetime; they want to continue showcasing how tourist attractions can be sustainable and socially impactful.

Sayan Gulino, the CEO of Waterbom, has released to reporters the first details of the next two phases of expansion.

The next step of the development plan is to create an interactive playground space for young families, a new slide, and even more water play equipment.

Work on this next phase will begin in the next few weeks and will be finished by the end of March 2024.

The third stage of the new development plans looks to be the most exciting of all. Set to be built in late 2024, Waterbom has revealed that they will be creating a new night-time space featuring huge light installations, art displays, new shops, and a dedicated space for community events and gatherings.

As ever, Waterbom has committed to developing the park in alignment with the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana which highlights the importance of working for harmony between humans, nature, and the spiritual realm.

It seem to be a must because of dirty beaches and polluted Fukushima sea water.
