In support of the visa on arrival and zero quarantine policy implementation, the Head of Bali IHGMA, Agus Yoga Iswara, proposed that accommodation businesses in Bali lower their rates to attract more visitors to the island.

“We all need to promote our tourist destinations in Bali and give the best offers for potential travelers,” Agus said on Friday (11/3).

With the resumed VoA program and zero quarantine policy, the Head of Indonesian Housekeeper Association (IHKA), Nyoman Sugiarta, hopes that this will be the beginning of the economic recovery as more foreign visitors are expected to come in the near future.

However, he still urged everyone to create a safe environment for tourists by complying with the protocols.

“I hope that all tourism stakeholders can optimize the Covid prevention protocols, so our tourism sector can keep operating without any more restrictions from central government,” Sugiarta said.

Despite resuming the VoA program and dropping the quarantine, Bali has yet to receive an enthusiastic response from international markets as Bali Airport only recorded a few tourists who came with VoA.

I think this Yoga Iswara guy never checked how cheap the hotel prices are. And how desperate owners to keep their business just running without profit so the places are still maintained. The tourists don’t need lower hotel rates. They need easy restrictions.

How about just lowering the visa fee? SGD400 for a visa? That us double the cost of my flight!
