Prior to the arrest, the police began an investigation in regards to this case after receiving a report from one of the victims, Chintia Ayu Rahmania (aged 22) who lost many of her valuable items while staying at the Jodes Lotus Villa located on Jalan Drupadi, Seminyak. The victim said that she was surprised after noticing that her iPhone was gone when she woke up on Friday morning (29/10).

Other than that, the other victims who stayed with Chintia realized that their cell phones were also missing. “The suspect managed to steal 4 iPhones, along with cash from the scene valued at SGD 500, and USD 35 (IDR 500,000).” AKP Yudistira added. On November 3rd, 2021, after several days of investigation, the suspect was arrested from a hotel that is located on Jalan Beraban, Seminyak without resistance.

During the interrogation, the suspect admitted that he managed to get inside the property by climbing up the wall and easily opening the unlocked front door of the villa. “The suspect committed this crime by himself, using a motorbike that he previously rented.” AKP Yudistira concluded.

@J West, I support the punishment. We must make an example that it will not be tolerated and that the younger generations understand the path to evil deeds will leave you holding nothing.
