The Head of Karangasem Educational Youth and Sports, I Wayan Sutrisna, confirmed that the headmaster of a public elementary school in Karangasem was confirmed positive with Covid-19, two days after receiving the vaccine booster.

“He tested positive with Covid-19 on Saturday (29/1). He received the vaccine booster on Thursday (27/1),” Sutrisna said.

The doctor conducted a swab test on the headmaster on Friday, one day after he started feeling unwell. However, Sutrisna believes that the headmaster had already contracted Covid-19 before the vaccination.

“We suspect that he had already contracted the virus prior to the vaccination,” Sutrisna added.

The Head of Karangasem Health Agency, Dr. I Gusti Bagus Putra Pertama, stated that the incubation period of the virus is 2 to 14 days, making it possible for the headmaster to have been exposed before he received the booster.

They will begin tracing everyone who had contact with the headmaster, such as teachers and students of the elementary school.

It's time to admit these boosters and vaccines dont work. Every time someone's been vaxxed n contract Covid there's always an excuse made eg the unsuspecting patient had Covid prior to their Vax or booster shots. Time's up! Please....

@Martina, The vaccines aren't as effective on the new strains as there based on the original strain. This is common knowledge, yet studies and statistics have proved that they have still saved millions of lives. Fair enough you don't trust vaccines thats your perogative. Spreading misinformation though is dangerous for example my dads friend never got vaccinated back home as he took advice from his conspisory theorist son. BTW he died from covid.

... and was has a vaccination to do with a positive test? Nothing. Vaccination protects the vaccinated against from serious illness, but not against infection, nor against a positive test

News must be a little slow there in Bali? This is not news; it is well known worldwide that these shots do not work...especially on the Omicron variant.

@Mike, the article said that he may have been exposed to covid before he got his booster shot. Was he hospitalized ? Nope.

Perhaps it is a little slow for you to grasp that Covid-19 hospitalizations are 23 times higher for unvaccinated than boosted.

Efforts to promote Covid-19 vaccination and boosters are critical to preventing serious outcomes associated with Covid-19.

Recent studies from the CDC show that the highest rates of cases and hospitalizations are among unvaccinated people, followed by vaccinated but not boosted people, with vaccinated and boosted people having the best protection.
