Officials from Bali Public Civil Service have stated that nightclubs are allowed to host party events with strict prevention protocols.

The Head of Bali’s Public Civil Service, I Dewa Nyoman Rai Dharmadi confirmed that all night clubs in Bali are allowed to operate with strict prevention protocols in place. “As long as they keep complying with prevention protocols, nightclubs are allowed to host party events,” Dharmadi said on Monday (1/11).

Dharmadi instructed during a recent meeting with managers of several nightclubs in Bali that they are to create an internal Covid-19 Handling Task Force within their businesses. “I told them to start creating a special task force to supervise the implementation of prevention protocols during their operations to prevent creating new clusters within their businesses,” Dharmadi added.

Other than that, he also instructed those businesses to utilize the PeduliLindungi tracing app as an entry requirement for their customers. “Government officials, including police officers, will keep monitoring the implementation of the PeduliLindungi tracing app within those businesses to prevent them from operating with more than their maximum capacity,” Dharmadi concluded.

There are several forms of penalties for protocol offenders, from fines to deportation.
