The Nusa Dua is one of Indonesia’s most luxurious tourism resorts. Home to some of Bali’s most exclusive hotels, it is easy to see why this is the destination of choice for world leaders, celebrities, and the ultra-wealthy.

Room occupancy rates show that demand for travel in this gorgeous coastal retreat is only going to increase in 2026.

Nusa Dua honesty ticks all of the right boxes for a picture-perfect Bali beach vacation. It is just minutes away from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, but it is super quiet, traffic-free, and tourists cannot hear airport noise. The beachfronts are immaculately clean, with crystal clear waters and consistently safe to swim shorelines.

The resort is home to some of the most highly acclaimed hotels in the country, and there is a wealth of cultural and natural wonders to explore. Nusa Dua offers a welcoming stay for families, couples, solo travellers, and those looking to sneak a couple of extra days of sunshine while on a business trip to Bali.

Nusa Dua is home to the Bali International Convention Center and regularly hosts significant international meetings, conventions, conferences, and exhibitions, including the G20 Summit.

As a tourism resort area, the Nusa Dua is managed by InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), which is another way in which Nusa Dua feels different from many other destinations in Bali; the resort has a central management system that oversees the area.

The ITDC Acting President Director, Ahmad Fajar, explained that throughout 2025, the average hotel occupancy rate in the Nusa Dua area was 76%, which is above average for Bali as a whole. Fajar shared, “In terms of visits, the area actually shows an upward trend. The number of visits to The Nusa Dua in 2025 reached almost 3.8 million visits, up from around 3.2 million visits in 2024 or a growth of around 18.5 percent.”

For the ITDC, it is not only Nusa Dua that recorded growth in 2025, but other areas it manages too, including The Mandalika in neighbouring Lombok and The Golo Mori in Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park.

Throughout 2025, all three areas recorded a growth in visitor numbers and built upon the collective mission to establish these resorts as integrated event and tourism destinations.

Fajar shared, “Overall, the performance achievements of these three areas confirm the effectiveness of the destination management strategy implemented by ITDC as Master Developer and Asset Manager of Indonesian tourism destinations.”
