The Turyapada Tower is one of Bali’s newest tourism attractions. The telecommunications tower is located just north of the Bedugul Highlands, in Buleleng Regency.
Leaders in Bali are on a mission to make this infrastructural development into a leading tourist attraction and provincial landmark.

The Turyapada Tower is officially a fully functioning telecommunications tower. In August 2025, Bali’s Deputy Governor, Nyoman Giri Prasta, launched the tower’s communication network.
The tower costs IDR 418 billion to create and was designed to combat communications black zones in Karangasem Regency, Buleleng Regency, and Jembrana Regency. However, since the first stone was laid for the project, the Bali Provincial Government has been clear that the site will be developed into a world-class tourism destination.
Both the Bedugul Highlands and Buleleng Regency are priority areas for the Bali Tourism Office, which aims to distribute the concentration of tourism more evenly throughout the island and encourage tourists to explore more of what the island has to offer, away from the central southern coast.
Leaders in Bali want the Turyapada Tower to become as synonymous with Bali as the Eiffel Tower is to France and the Tokyo Tower is to Japan.
The Turyapada Tower is set to be a free-to-visit attraction, and it is an impressive sight. The structure stands at 115m in height and at 1,636m above sea level. From the existing viewing platforms, visitors can take in panoramic views of the sprawling Buleleng landscape and even over to the hills of Tabanan Regency, too. Currently, the tower facilitates transmission to 22 television stations, and ten more are set to be added by the end of 2028.
As the first major phase of the project was signed off and launched in August, all focus is now on phase two of the project. The second construction phase is set to cost IDR 270 billion and includes major redevelopments of the surrounding infrastructure, including the construction of a ring road through Lemukih Village to help provide additional access.
Speaking to reporters, Bali’s Governor Wayan Koster shared, “This development is equipped with a 1.1-kilometer-long gondola that will connect the tower area with the stunning natural landscape. It will be completed at the end of August 2026, and start operating at the end of 2026.”
The Turyapada Tower will also welcome the development of a tourist gondola cable car-style attraction, as well as new communal spaces, retail and small business hubs, restaurants, and new attractions and exhibitions within the tower building, too.

Governor Koster has also confirmed that the second phase of the project development will include road access from the ring road shortcut to the tower complex, a parking area with a capacity of 200 cars, a gondola terminal, and the arrangement of the area around the tower, such as a camping area park.

Governor Koster explained that the area will be created to maximise access to green spaces, even as more infrastructure is developed. He told reporters, “For gardens, communal spots, and other areas, we beautify with local plants, especially flowers from the surrounding area, so that they are really suitable for growing here.
He added, “This will be a strategic point to enjoy the complete panorama of North Bali, presenting a different and modern experience for visitors, no less than the Eiffel Tower, Tokyo Tower, Macau Tower, or Toronto Tower.”

Though the Turyapada Tower is free to visit, tickets must be booked in advance. Tickets and entry can be arranged via the Turyapada Tower official website.
Visiting times are the same every day, with sessions at 10 am -12 pm and 1 pm – 3 pm. Tour guides are available, and guests have the option of joining a group tour or a private tour experience.
